To the Ancestors, Spirits, Lineage Keepers, and Guides who are in highest protection of this sacred work,

We honor you and the wisdom you come from. The unseen realities that are always around us if we choose to pause, slow down, feel and hear you.

We thank you for your presence. For your gifts of struggle and triumph. For the teachings that have been carried in our DNA. Those that were held and taught, and those that have been forgotten and are asking to be remembered.

We call upon you here in sacred service.

To remind us that we are not alone, that we do this work in relationship with you. That as we remember, you too remember. That our lineages become stronger when we face that which has felt unbearable to look at, and claim that which has always been our birthright.

This page is an offering back to you, for we know  this work does not arise in isolation. It has been shaped by you- our teachers, mentors, wisdom keepers, and lineages.

We honor those who have guided the path of this work,
whose teachings live through what is offered here.

We honor the lineages these teachings come from—
and the responsibility to carry them with integrity, humility, and care.

We honor the people.

The ones we knew,
and the ones we never met.

The ones whose names are spoken,
and the ones who were forgotten, erased, or never recorded.

We honor the desires—
the dreams that were not fully lived,
the prayers that were whispered into the dark, the longings carried across generations.

We honor the lineages—
of blood, of spirit, of craft, of devotion.

We honor the ones at our back—
not as something behind us,
but as a living presence
we can turn toward and feel.

We honor those that are not human.
Those of the four legged, winged, and gilled.

We honor Mama Earth, and all Her elements. The fire that warms us, the water that gives life, and the air that provides our breath. It is these ecosystems, these ancestors, that make our lives possible.

We thank you, thank you, thank you.

May we make you proud, and become ancestors that we too can be proud of.

We honor and thank those we have been explicitly taught by. The people and their lineages. May we do well by them and may their lineages be fed by our work.
